Term Life Insurance

Life insurance is recognized as so important to a surviving family’s future wellbeing that death benefits have the unique status of being federal and state income tax free. So when providing for your family, please include adequate life insurance. AFAVBA has chosen Term Life insurance for Members because Term Life is “pure” insurance. You are paying only for your insurance coverage … not for an additional investment component that increases the price.

Both AFAVBA Term Life Insurance Plans include liberal benefits such as:

  • No limitation on benefits for death resulting from war or acts of terrorism.
  • The same economical rates for pilots – both civilian and military.
  • A waiver of premium option if you become disabled.
  • Coverage for spouses and dependent children.
  • Continuation of coverage for mentally or physically handicapped children.
  • Accelerated Benefit Option if you become terminally ill.
  • Money back guarantee.

Level Term Life Insurance*

Provides you with up to $300,000 of protection which does not decrease until age 65 (coverage can be continued to age 85). Premiums increase as you age. This type of insurance is excellent for those who wish to carry a high level of protection at the lowest cost possible. Insureds also receive a FREE Will for themselves and their spouses prepared by MetLife designated attorneys.

Decreasing Term Life Insurance*
Premiums from $10-$30 per month provide for up to $400,000 coverage, depending upon your age. This is a wise choice if you want a high level of coverage when your responsibilities are greatest (new mortgage, young children) … and a lesser amount later in life when responsibilities decline. Decreasing Term Life tracks this cycle, all for the same low premiums that do not increase with your age.
