The mission of the Air Force Association (AFA) includes promoting aerospace education, specifically the study of science mathematics and technology. Through AFA’s affiliation with Grantham University, AFA is pleased to provide a full four-year online degree scholarship to an active duty dependent, an AFA member or a dependent of an AFA member. One full four-year scholarship, bearing a total value of approximately $28,000, to Grantham University also includes required books and software. To be eligible, candidates must have a high school diploma or GED.

Twenty years ago, a college education almost always meant dorm rooms and football games. Every part of our lives has been impacted now by technology … so it shouldn’t surprise you that education has been brought into the 21st century by technological advances. More Americans are turning away from traditional universities and choosing distance education instead.

According to the U.S. Department of Education, enrolment in distance education courses has more than doubled since 2000. In the past, distance learning meant taking courses through audio or video feeds, but today’s technology has allowed schools to offer more and more courses using the Internet. This new distance learning model is ideal for anyone that moves frequently or those whose schedules simply make it difficult to attend traditional classes.

Why Choose Distance Education?

  • Many find their lives revolving around family and jobs and college plans have to be put on hold. With distance education, you can find time to spend with your family, excel in your career and earn your degree.
  • Distance learning gives you the flexibility to get an education while working a full time job. You can study and do homework whenever you can fit it in.
  • Your commute is as easy as a click of the mouse.
  • All of your educational needs – from taking tests to communicating with professors and advisors – can be met online.

Grantham’s online degree programs are purposely different from some other online degree programs. Grantham has modeled its online programs so they can be completed from anywhere Internet access is available. Grantham does not require students to log-on to the Internet at specific times or days or to appear at the University for exams.
